Signed up for an alias today (outlook.com). Receive emails ok, but when I endeavour to send an email I get "The sender email address is invalid" fault.

I have the same problem, I used to be able to send emails from my alias account when I was using Hotmail, but since it moved to Outlook it stopped working.

I set upwards my allonym (another email address I have access to which directs automatically all my e-mail to outlook business relationship but not from the Microsoft domain) on my Hotmail email accost within outlook, I created it on the business relationship.alive.com and I can come across information technology when I look on the link in a higher place. Even so, when I select this to send my e-mail from (using the drop down box on the compose e-mail folio) and then try to transport information technology comes up with the error message "The sender email address is invalid:".

Please help!

Ther exact steps taken are:

1. Add together Account

2. In auto account  set up.

  • Entered proper name (Graham Nelson)
  • Entered e-mail address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
  • Entered password (************ - i.e. 12-blastoff numeric password)

3. Pressed Next.

The process shows "Searching for your mail server settings"

  • Establishing network connection shows as Ticked

Fails.  Bulletin: "An encrypted connectedness to your mail server is non available. Click Next to try using an unencrypted connection."

4. Click Adjacent.

v.  The process again shows "Searching for your post server settings."

6.  Fails.Message reads: "We are having problem connecting to your account. Verify the settings beneath [my email address] and brand changes if necessary.

7. Cheque the settings. All is correct.

I'm also having this same issue.

Actually I retrieve that it's just taking a long time to annals the alias.  If I refresh a new electronic mail folio a couple times or logout and login, it shows the allonym I've created in the driblet down of selectable (From) addresses.  Even so, if I refresh the folio once more, it doesn't show it.

I recall people keep abandoning this thread because it eventually works.  Mine'southward still not working.  I just have i alias so experience free to dig around in my account.
